Francuska policija pronašla je ukradeno balsamovano srce francuske kraljice Ane od Bretanje u gradu Sent Nazeru na zapadu zemlje

Policija je pronašla srce u zlatnom kovčežiću, koji je prošle nedelje ukraden iz muzeja u Nantu, prenosi Bi-Bi-Si.

Ana od Bretanje bila je jedina žena koja je dva puta krunisana kraljicom u Francuskoj.

Last week I was devastated when the golden case made to contain the heart of Anne, Duchess of Brittany and Queen of France, was stolen. So I was thrilled to find out that it has now been recovered and is in good condition! The case is important not just because it's old or connected with a historic royal - it's important because it tells us so much about Anne herself and her political identity. Anne's marriage united her independent duchy of Brittany to the kingdom of France, but she always defended the well-being and status of her duchy. She commissioned a grand tomb for her parents, and when it came to her own burial her body may have joined those of France's previous kings and queens in the cathedral of St Denis, but she ordered her heart to be buried with her parents in Nantes, the Breton capital. Her heart was literally and metaphorically in Brittany. The case she commissioned is therefore worth so much more than its gold content, presumably all the thieves were bothered about. It's totally irreplaceable and has influenced countless generations of historians in their analysis of Anne's identity and attachment to her duchy - including me. I was incredibly excited to visit Nantes in 2016 and see the case for Anne's heart in the Musée Dobrée, when I took these photos. The case is small and delicate, and beautiful for its craftsmanship and the love it represents. I was so upset to think I might never see it again, and future generations wouldn't either. But now it can continue to inspire others in their study of that fascinating monarch and patron, Anne of Brittany. NEWS Heart of Queen Anne of Brittany (Bretagne) stolen. Anne of Brittany (1477-1514) was Queen of France two times. She married French King Charles VIII and after his death she had to marry his cousin and successor, the new King Louis XII. Anne was buried near Paris, but - according to her will - her heart was buried in Bretagne.
