NOVAK SHAKES UP LONDON: Djoković IS BOYCOTTING Wimbledon because of CRAZY Boris Johnson?

A saga about the participation of the best tennis player on the planet, Novak Djoković, at Wimbledon has been going on for months.

First, there was a question whether Nole would be able to participate due to his position on the vaccination against COVID-19, and the latest topic was related the ban on Russian and Belarusian tennis players from performing in London.

The organisers of the third Grand Slam of the season decided to impose a ban, the Serb publicly raised his voice against such a scenario, and the English do not stop tormenting him because of his free-thinking attitudes.

Thus, Britain's "Daily Express" published a shameful text titled "Novak Djoković could boycott Wimbledon because of the crazy Boris Johnson", based on the words of Nikola Pilić.

The fact that it was written on the basis of the words of a Croatian expert, and not Novak himself, testifies to how unfounded it is, and Pilić sharply attacked the British Prime Minister.

-  We have had many wars in the Balkans, we know that ordinary people always suffer. With that in mind, I must say that I do not support Wimbledon's decision. It's not the athletes' fault. When politics gets involved in sports, it usually doesn't turn out well - Pilić said and then added:

- Boris Johnson is crazy! Rublev and Medvedev have nothing to do with Putin. They just want to play tennis like everyone else.

In any case, the Serbian player should get a chance to defend the title in the English capital in June, where he defeated the Italian Matteo Berrettini last year in the final and won 6-7 6-4 6-4 6-3 (3:1).
