The high recognition, named after the commander of the Serbian military forces during the revolution in Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1848, was presented to Vučić by Professor Ivan Stratimirović, great-grandson of the Supreme Leader Djordje Stratimirović.

The delegation included the academician Darko Tanasković, an MP, the President of the Serbian League and the President of the Committee for the Return of the Remains of the Supreme Leader Djordje Stratimirović to his homeland, Aleksandar Djurdjev, the President of the Center for the Development of Šajkaška Danijel Kulačin and the Secretary General of the Serbian League Goran Milenković.

Aleksandar Vučić spoke to the representatives of that Center in the building of the Presidency of Serbia, after which he was presented with the recognition.
