Volodymyr Zelenskyy also warned that if negotiations fail, it could mean that the conflict between Ukraine and Russia could escalate into World War III.

- I am ready to negotiate with him, as I was ready for the past two years. And I believe that this war cannot be ended without negotiations - said Zelenskyy and added:

- If there is at least a 1 percent chance that this war will stop, then I think we should use that opportunity. We have to do it. Every day we lose people, innocent people on the field - he told CNN.

- Russian forces came to exterminate us, to kill us. And we show that our people and army can reciprocate with dignity. But, unfortunately, our dignity will not save our lives. That is why I think that we have to use any format, any chance in order to have a possibility of negotiating, possibility of talking to Putin. But if these attempts fail, that would mean that this is a third World War - the Ukrainian president said.
