The company Meta, which manages Facebook and Instagram, will temporarily change its business policy regarding the attitude of users towards Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian soldiers.
Reuters, citing internal documents from Meta that they had access to, said that these social networks could allow the publication of calls for the death of Russian President Vladimir Putin and calls for violence against Russian troops in some countries.
Such statements would usually violate social media rules and users would face penalties for them.
This exception, which was confirmed by a spokesman for Meta, will apply in the case of users registered in Russia, Ukraine and some other countries.
