Namely, the organisers of the Kremlin Cup suggested that the traditional tournament in Moscow be played without foreigners, but not completely.

Belarusians, Kazakhs, Armenians, Tajiks and the Kyrgyz would have the right to participate in the Russian capital, unlike Serbs.

However, this initiative could not go unnoticed and without comments, so the first one to express her opinion was Ekaterina Bychkova, a former tennis player.

- I don’t really understand the idea, to be honest. It will no longer be the Kremlin Cup, but rather, another tournament that more closely matches the history of the Spartakiad. What might be of interest to the player under number 1 Daniil Medvedev in such a tournament? I don’t really understand the motivation - the 66th tennis player in the world said.

As a reminder, the Kremlin Cup is scheduled to take place from 18 to 24 October. Last year, the winners were Aslan Karatsev in the men's division and Anett Kontaveit in the women's divison.
