American Brittney Griner pleaded guilty to drug smuggling and she is facing a draconian sentence.
She was arrested at Sheremetyevo Airport on 17 February for possessing illegal substances.
She could be facing imprisonment for up to nine years.
As a reminder, in 2021 last year her partner Cherelle asked US President Joe Biden to protect Griner, but she put an end to this case by pleading guilty.
It is also worth mentioning that the American has been playing for the UMMC Ekaterinburg since 2015, and it is even more interesting that she is 206 centimeters tall.
