Ibrahim Čerkez, the next-door neighbour of the family whose daughter Elmira Sefo was killed last night after a strong earthquake that hit them in Stolac, began the conversation with these words.

- Here, you see, their house was well-constructed, but the rocks from a nearby hill ... If it weren't for that ... Her mother called my son, "Help us, the rock is in our hallway". Elmira must have come out of the room into the hallway at the moment when the rock fell. My son and I were barely able to lift the rock - Čerkez told Dnevni Avaz.

A total of five larger rocks fell on the houses in the neighbourhood. 

- I have a garage above the house and the rock broke through the garage wall and stayed there. If it weren't for the garage, it would have fallen into our living room. It hit the very corner of the roof on the house of our other neighbour - he added.
