He pointed out that he could not claim with certainty that his mother's death occurred solely due to the stress and suffocation she suffered due to the tear gas fired into her yard, but that he was sure that it greatly contributed to her passing away on Wednesday, 13 October 2021, at around 5 p.m.

- To put it mildly, the yard of our house was like in Beirut yesterday, and about twenty cartridges of tear gas and a large number of shock bombs were fired in such a small area. Five or six cartridges of tear gas fell on the front door itself, due to which my mother and father suffered suffocation, they tried to use wet towels to make it easier for them to breathe. I am not denying my mother's illness, but how come she died precisely today when she was suffocating in tear gas - said Djelić.

As he says, he does not want to exaggerate things, but he points out that "it is a little too big of a coincidence for a woman who was sick, but not terribly, to suffocate and die today".

- I cannot say that they committed murder with their act, but it is certain that they contributed to the worsening of her condition which resulted in death. If my father didn't have nausea and vomiting, then I would say that it didn't matter, but the tear gas also harmed him. The fact is that he is in better health, so he managed to cooe with it - Djelić points out.
